ROSE (Reaching Our Sisters Everywhere)

ROSE works to normalize and support breastfeeding within communities of color by providing resources and networking opportunities for individuals and communities. They offer a free breastfeeding club for all moms and soon-to-be moms as well as the ROSE Baby Cafe which is a virtual space for pregnant and breastfeeding mothers to meet and receive resources as well as support regarding the breastfeeding journey from trained ROSE staff.

Meet with other moms who have recovered from or are currently experiencing a challenging pregnancy or postpartum period. Experience the benefits of peer support. Learn about postpartum depression and related disorders and discuss resources such as therapists, doctors, opportunities to meet other moms/children, and ways to improve your health and mood. 914-261-8182.

ICAN of Atlanta is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to improve maternal-child health by preventing unnecessary cesareans through education, providing support for cesarean recovery, and promoting Vaginal Birth after Cesarean (VBAC).

A free 24 hour telephone service provides confidential one-on-one support from trained volunteers, parents just like you. From basic infant care to breast or bottle feeding issues to postpartum adjustment, the Warmline can be a great source of general parenting information and support.

Atlanta Healthy Start Initiative (AHSI) is a federally funded maternal and infant health program designed to support moms-to-be during pregnancy and throughout the critical postpartum period. Care is coordinated by a  compassionate team of nurses, family support specialists and a mental health provider. Home-based education is guided by a nationally recognized curriculum, with topics ranging from infant care to breastfeeding.

A 24-hour helpline for parents who need to discuss issues related to their children. The hotline is free, confidential, and available 24/7. They also provide free in-person and virtual support groups.

PowerLine (Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies) (1-800-300-9003)

A phone number that anyone can call to receive referrals for healthcare, prenatal care, child health and development, breastfeeding support, and other health-related concerns. Spanish speaking staff members are available and telephone interpreters in 170+ languages.
